Fix Chronic Health Issues With THESE Sleeping Positions!

f you suffer from a condition like sleep apnea, plantar fasciitis or acid reflux, you’ve probably tried quite a few things to quell your symptoms. Meds, physiotherapy, the works, right?

Well what if I told you those issues could be treated by changing one simple thing – your sleeping position?

You’d probably be really interested, right?

Well guess what? That’s exactly what I’m telling you! Today, we’re going to take a look at six conditions that can be treated with basic adjustments to your body’s shape as you sleep.

1. Shoulder Pain

If you’ve got shoulder pain, first and foremost, avoid sleeping on the shoulder that’s hurting. If you choose to sleep on the other side, place a large pillow at your chest level and rest your arm on it.
2. Neck Pain

If you suffer from neck pain, you’ll want to keep your neck level. That means no pillow under your head! Instead, take a rolled up towel and place it under your neck.

3. Back Pain

If you suffer from spinal stenosis, sleeping in a fetal position with a pillow between your knees can be of great help. Sleeping on your stomach is never ideal but if you must, place a pillow under your pelvis to relieve strain.

If you prefer to sleep on your back, place a pillow under your knees and put a rolled towel under the small of your back.

4. Plantar Fasciitis

If you’ve got foot pain caused by an inflamed plantar fasciitis, make sure your feet and ankles are in a relaxed position. Also, don’t tuck your sheets in too tightly at the end of your bed.

5. Acid Reflux

If you suffer from acid reflux, make sure you sleep on the left side of your body. Why? Well, the left side of your body houses your lymphatic system. When you sleep on this side, it helps with proper settling of stomach acids.

6. Sleep Apnea

If you suffer from sleep apnea symptoms like snoring and trouble breathing while asleep, make sure you’re resting on your side. This will keep your tongue and tissues from obstructing your airway.

One way to avoid rolling onto your back is to put a pillow behind you as you sleep.

Don’t forget to ditch the pillow! It is a major cause of all the health issues listed above!
