Tilapia is one of the most consumed fish in America and maybe is one of your favorite meals. But what you don’t know is that the recent study confirmed that this fish is grown in China in bad farming practices.

Tilapia is a white fish, mild in taste, and extremely cheap. It is boneless and skinless so you can cook it easily. Numerous of people enjoy in its consumption without knowing the try about this fish.

Farm-raised tilapia has been shown to cause aggravation in the body like asthma, joint inflammation, coronary disease, and a host of other problems. Farmed fish contain ten times the normal amount of carcinogenic, or cancer causing agents as fish found in the wild.

This kind of fish, also have a higher amount of pesticides in them, as pesticides are used to treat the fish for infections while being farmed and often remains contained in their bodies after harvesting.

For one thing, the omega 3 fatty acids in farm bred tilapia are not as beneficial as the omega fatty acid in wild tilapia. Plus, farm-raised tilapia also contains less protein. The fish is raised in pools, which makes them fattier and they often contain more omegas 6 fatty acid.

Therefore, if you want to maintain your good health and avoid potential detrimental effects, you should eliminate tilapia from your regular diet, as it brings more harm than benefits to your body.
