Most baby books tell parents that they can expect their little one to start forming his or her first word at around a year old. Some babies surprise mom and dad with a first word as young as seven or eight months old. One baby shocked the world when his mother posted a video of him saying ‘hello.’ He is only two months old!
A mom in Michigan named Samantha Jones told everyone that her two-month-old son, Christian, could say ‘Hello.’ No one believed her, so Jones filmed her son to prove it wasn’t just her imagination.
In the video, Jones says to Christian, “Can you say hello to Amber?”
Sure enough, Christian curls up his little tongue and repeats, “Hello.”
The proud mama posted the video to Facebook and even made the news because of her young son’s budding verbal skills. While there are tons of videos on Facebook and YouTube of infants making noises that sound like words, in most cases it was just a lucky coincidence caught on film. Baby babbles can often sound like words, even though they are just random noises. Christian seems to be imitating his mother.
Is this a little Einstein Jones has on her hands? Perhaps the next Shakespeare in the making? Only time will tell– but for now, this mom has one adorable moment preserved on film.
